Favourite costumes from Black Panther movie
Today I would like to show you my favourite looks from the Black Panther movie. As you can read in my previous posts concerning Black Panther, one of my favourite things about this movie is the African inspired wardrobe. These costumes are the work of costume designer genius Ruth E. Carter, who had over a 100 people to help her realise the designs for the movie. Symbolic African costumes designed for Black Panther
Costume designer Ruth E. Carter is the mastermind behind all the African costumes worn in the Marvel movie Black Panther. This genius designer was inspired by various African tribes and the symbolic triangle, as she explains it. “There is a huge misunderstanding about what Africa is”, she says. “Most people think it’s just one big thing”. Huishoudbeurs 2018: Pasar Colours Festival – Surinamese Day
Just like I mentioned in my previous post about the Huishoudbeurs, my third visit was all about the Pasar Colours Festival, because it was all about Surinamese entertainment that day. Unfortunately, I arrived later than planned, because I had to finnish the blogpost about the day before which took longer than I thought. But even though I missed half of the entertainment, I still had a great time at Pasar Colours Festival – Surinamese Day. Huishoudbeurs 2018: Fashion & Beauty
My second visit to the Huishoudbeurs 2018 was yesterday on Wednesday, which was also the start of the Negen Maanden Beurs (Nine Months Fair), a fair that, as the name may suggest, that is all about baby stuff. Since this fair has nothing to do with my personal interests yet, it wasn’t the reason for me to go to Huishoudbeurs that day, but I did visit it for a second just to see what was going on there. My visit to the Huishoudbeurs that day was about checking out the Fashion & Beauty section. Continue reading “Huishoudbeurs 2018: Fashion & Beauty”

Huishoudbeurs 2018: Food & Drinks and Tahitian dancers
This year I am visiting the Huishoudbeurs several days and reporting about what I’ve done each visit. Because the fair is so big, my plan is to visit different sections each day and share with you what I’ve seen, done and bought each time I went . Yesterday was my first day at the Huishoudbeurs 2018, but unfortunately I arrived later than I thought, so I decided I to start with my favourite section of the fair: Food & Drinks. Huishoudbeurs 2018 in RAI Amsterdam is all about the gold
My favourite fair of the year has started this past weekend. The Huishoudbeurs, Household Fair in English, has its doors open from Saturday 17 February until Sunday 25 February. The theme of this year is gold, which is inspired by the 2018 Olympic Winter Games this February. Not only will the decorations be in gold, but visitors are called to dress up in a golden outfit as well. Did somebody call my name? Continue reading “Huishoudbeurs 2018 in RAI Amsterdam is all about the gold”

Rita Ora slays at 10th year Independence Day of Kosovo
Who says that movies can’t teach you history. Yesterday I was watching some foreign language movies on Netflix, because just like my fashion, food and music, I like to switch things up with movies too. While Hollywood movies are still my go to for a good movie marathon, I am well aware that the world has many countries that know what they’re doing in the film department. A date with myself: Fifty Shades Freed
There it was. The movie première every “Fifty Shades” fan was waiting for. On Wednesday 7 February 2018 the day was finally here. Chapter 3: Fifty Shades Freed was playing around the cinemas nationwide. Even though I really wanted to see the movie as one of the lucky firsts, I still waited one day longer, because I wanted to see it with a girlfriend who wasn’t able to make it on the 7th. The fourth day of my Paris 2015 trip was a day well spend with my Parisian friend, who really made this a memorable day for me. On this last day we were set to visit Montmartre, but on the way made a stop at Place de l’Opera, because she also wanted me to see the Paris Opera (Academie Nationale de Musique) and te Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann.
