Favourite costumes from Black Panther movie

Today I would like to show you my favourite looks from the Black Panther movie. As you can read in my previous posts concerning Black Panther, one of my favourite things about this movie is the African inspired wardrobe. These costumes are the work of costume designer genius Ruth E. Carter, who had over a 100 people to help her realise the designs for the movie. Symbolic African costumes designed for Black Panther

Costume designer Ruth E. Carter is the mastermind behind all the African costumes worn in the Marvel movie Black Panther. This genius designer was inspired by various African tribes and the symbolic triangle, as she explains it. “There is a huge misunderstanding about what Africa is”, she says. “Most people think it’s just one big thing”.  Continue reading “Symbolic African costumes designed for Black Panther”

Huishoudbeurs 2018: Fashion & Beauty

My second visit to the Huishoudbeurs 2018 was yesterday on Wednesday, which was also the start of the Negen Maanden Beurs (Nine Months Fair), a fair that, as the name may suggest, that is all about baby stuff. Since this fair has nothing to do with my personal interests yet, it wasn’t the reason for me to go to Huishoudbeurs that day, but I did visit it for a second just to see what was going on there. My visit to the Huishoudbeurs that day was about checking out the Fashion & Beauty section. Continue reading “Huishoudbeurs 2018: Fashion & Beauty”

Must see video – 100 years of fashion: Women in film

As a true fashionista and film fanatic, I always look at films in two ways: the story and the styling. The fashion styling that is, especially on the women. Today I’ve found a video that shows us how the fashion of women in films has evolved in the last century. Very interesting to see if you like film styling as much as I do. Styling the Vogue beanie

Vogue beanie look (1)

Today I am sharing my first outfit post of the year 2016 and it is March already. How time flies. Last week I shared a YouTube Video from Popsugar on my FB page on ways to wear a beanie. After that I also posted a beanie give away here on the blog, which linked to my FB page to enter, for my followers from the Netherlands. Those of you who follow me on Instagram have seen me rocking that Vogue beanie a few times now. In this outfit post I’ll show you how I styled the Vogue beanie the second time I put it on last week. That’s why I have two of these fashionable items to give away today: 1 grey Vogue beanie and 1 black neck warmer, that can be worn as a scarf, hat or ear warmer. Style the peplum LBD with Dailylook

When it comes to dresses, the little black dress is hands down my favourite one of them all. As you could read in this post I love dresses and that’s why I own a lot of them. Since the LBD is my favourite, I believe I have more than ten pieces hanging in my closet. Every woman needs a LBD. It is my believe that a woman  should own at least three little black dresses. It is the perfect dress to make a woman look sexy, classy, chic and slim. For this reason I was pleasantly surprised when Dailylook asked me to be part of their LBD Dream Date Style Challenge. Spotted at Kling: The French Fries Bag

20141011_181213

While walking through the streets of Barcelona looking for nice stores to shop and unique items, I spotted some cool food themed bags at a shop called Kling. There was the Pop Corn bag, the Butter Flavor Cookies bag, The Danish Butter Cookies bag  and my favourite the French Fries bag, Mc Donald’s style. Unfortunately the sales woman wouldn’t let me take pictures in the store after asking, so I took some from the outside so you could still see the bag because I wanted to share it with you. Spotted at River Island: The chunky boots

20141002_170848

This season chunky boots are making a comeback. Everywhere you look these shoes are present. Last week, while looking for a birthday dress in downtown Amsterdam, I came across some very cool ones at River Island. You can get them in different colours but mostly in black, with or without cutouts, or straps. The chunky boots are very trending right now and the perfect pair of shoes for fall/winter. For sure I’m going to get myself a pair. Continue reading “Spotted at River Island: The chunky boots”
