From the seventies trend to the kimono inspired light weight coats. Great styling tips and I thank her very much for them. Have a look. MBFWA Outfit Day 2: Snow-White and Navy Blue

Outfit Day 2 collage

For day two of MBFWA I wanted to wear something much more different from day 1 and went with a complete opposite look. This day I wanted to keep it sweet and girly and choose to wear a dress instead of pants. As I was also visiting the Zalando 10 Days Downtown Event called ‘Fashion & Ballet’ at the Koepelkerk, Renaissance Hotel, I picked out a dress that to me matched the feeling of ballet. Since it had snowed that day, I also kinda wanted to blend in with the white color on the streets. So I ended up wearing my snow-white flared skirt dress. Caribbean Fashion Fundraiser

Caribbean Fashion Show Shoko

Hello my dear readers. In this post I would kindly like to ask you all for a favour and hope you can help out. As you may know, I am the PR Executive of Caribbean Fashion Spot, something I have talked about a few times before and you can read on the “About Me” page. Caribbean Fashion Spot, published by a young Dutch international (online) marketing and PR company ‘IRC’, is an online medium that promotes Caribbean fashion and recently also organizes fashion events to put the Caribbean fashion industry more in the spotlight in Europe. We would like to include the Caribbean fashion in the international fashion weeks in Europe to raise more brand awareness and exposure for Caribbean fashion brands. The 14 reasons why 2014 was good for me

20141004_233050

While we are already two weeks into the year of 2015, I have to take a minute and be thankful for everything that happened to me in 2014. The year 2014 was a good year for me privately, socially and careerwise. Since a lot of bloggers are posting about the best of 2014, highlights of 2014 or the best outfits of 2014 and so on, I didn’t want to jump on that bandwagon, but still want to give you my version of a review of 2014. Besides all the different Fashion Weeks across the globe, it is one of the highlights of the year for many fashion freaks. Of course I’m talking about the luxury lingerie show of all times: The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. This year held for the first time in the British capital London instead of New York, it was also a breathtaking show with amazing creations, gorgeous styling and lean sexy super models. Fashionistas at AFWA 2014

AFWA Fashionistas

Where there’s fashion week, there are the fashionistas. All dressed up and ready to go. At the first edition of Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam, held last month at the World Fashion Centre (WFC), it was not any different. Since it was all about African fashion you can imagine that most of these fashionistas pulled out their African ensembles to show off at the event and pose in front of the wall of fame. Of course I couldn’t resist getting these fabulous African inspired outfits on camera and took some snap shots of my favourite ones spotted on day 1 and day to of AFWA 2014. AFWA poster

Good news for African fashion lovers! After New York, Paris, Berlin, Prague and London it’s up to Amsterdam to host the Africa Fashion Week (AFWA 2014) that will take place in the World Fashion Centre. On August 30 and 31 there will be 20 African and African inspired designers showing the beauty of African couture, art and fashion to a European and global audience. And how pleased am I to tell you that I will attend this first time event in the Dutch Capital to capture all the best moments for you. How I experienced the CFW 2014 fashion shows in Kingston

DSC_0096

The Caribbean Fashion Week 2014 in Kingston, Jamaica was the first international Fashion Week I’ve been to and therefore it’s definitely going in my Fashion History Book. It was a pleasure and honor to be there as one of the media to capture this event from the frontline for Dy Muñeca the Caribbean Fashion Spot. Like I told you before in this post about CFW, I was there as a part of the Caribbean Fashion Spot. That’s why I talk about “we” in my Jamaica posts. My biggest role at the Caribbean Fashion Week shows was that of photographer. In this post I will share my experience of being photographer, visitor and fashionista at the same time.
