My favourite fair of the year has started this past weekend. The Huishoudbeurs, Household Fair in English, has its doors open from Saturday 17 February until Sunday 25 February. The theme of this year is gold, which is inspired by the 2018 Olympic Winter Games this February. Not only will the decorations be in gold, but visitors are called to dress up in a golden outfit as well. Did somebody call my name?

But that’s not everything. There will be golden vacuums and taps as well, visitors will receive a “golden tip” daily, the shopper will be available in a golden colour and the house DJ will be playing in a golden Mini. All of this got me super excited and curious for this years festivities, just like every year. As the Huishoudbeurs 2018 has already started, I am wondering about my most epic outfit yet.

About 350 companies this year have interesting products and offers for visitors. Besides the many big brands, there are plenty of fashion shows, cooking demonstrations, make-overs and lots of different free workshops.

Get Tropical feelings at Pasar Colours Festival

Just like the years before, there is also the Pasar Colours Festival, which will be in full swing this year. Literally. With performances from tropical dancers and bands, in combination with all the delicious tropical foods and products for sale, you will surely have a great time here. Don’t hesitate and go get tropical feelings at Pasar Colours Festival while it is cold winter weather outside. Looking back on Huishoudbeurs 2017:

 

Don’t worry if you didn’t understand anything guys. This is just to give you an impression of the fair, because I’ll be bringing you reports of the Huishoudbeurs in English.

 

The Huishoudbeurs takes place in RAI Amsterdam from 17 until 25 February 2018. The fair is daily open from 11:00 – 18:00 hrs, on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 February from 11:00 t 22:00 hrs. The Festival Fantastique (hal 2), The Hangout (Elicium) and Pasar Colours Festival (hal 7) are daily open from 10:00 hrs. More information is available on huishoudbeurs.nl.

If you’re in Amsterdam this week and you love fashion, beauty, food, shopping, eating, fashion shows and everything for the Household, this is the fair for you. But keep in mind: you will see LOADS of women. And me if you’re lucky. 😉
