Huishoudbeurs 2018: Fashion & Beauty

My second visit to the Huishoudbeurs 2018 was yesterday on Wednesday, which was also the start of the Negen Maanden Beurs (Nine Months Fair), a fair that, as the name may suggest, that is all about baby stuff. Since this fair has nothing to do with my personal interests yet, it wasn’t the reason for me to go to Huishoudbeurs that day, but I did visit it for a second just to see what was going on there. My visit to the Huishoudbeurs that day was about checking out the Fashion & Beauty section. Continue reading “Huishoudbeurs 2018: Fashion & Beauty”

Spotted at Kling: The French Fries Bag

20141011_181213

While walking through the streets of Barcelona looking for nice stores to shop and unique items, I spotted some cool food themed bags at a shop called Kling. There was the Pop Corn bag, the Butter Flavor Cookies bag, The Danish Butter Cookies bag  and my favourite the French Fries bag, Mc Donald’s style. Unfortunately the sales woman wouldn’t let me take pictures in the store after asking, so I took some from the outside so you could still see the bag because I wanted to share it with you. This season chunky boots are making a comeback. Everywhere you look these shoes are present. Last week, while looking for a birthday dress in downtown Amsterdam, I came across some very cool ones at River Island. You can get them in different colours but mostly in black, with or without cutouts, or straps. The chunky boots are very trending right now and the perfect pair of shoes for fall/winter. For sure I’m going to get myself a pair. Continue reading “Spotted at River Island: The chunky boots”

On Wednesday this week I went to the city for the first time this fall. Curious to see what trends are in store right now and what beauty products are a must have, I visited a few stores and H&M was one of them. Of course how can I resist the H&M when it comes to fall fashion right. The first thing that captured my attention when walking into the store was this cute little red lips bag with a long strap that I just had to share with you. IMG-20140205-02198

The I love.. shirts are a fashion phenomenon and nowadays has become an integral part of casual street wear around the world. Most of you know the many I <3.. shirts of different cities like A’DAM, Berlin, London, Paris, Milan, Roma, Barcelona, Stockholm, NY, LA, Miami, Montreal, Tokyo and so on. In Suriname, where I’m from, there is the I Love SU fashion line and merchandise. While I’m not here to explain to you the history and demographics of Suriname, I can tell you that the population is not even close to one million citizens. Most people live in the capital city Paramaribo, and when there is talk about life in Suriname or going to Suriname it usually is about Paramaribo, but in general people speak of Su (short for Suriname). It is not like, for example, the United States or Spain (because of the big cities), that there is a I Love.. clothing line for almost every city. No, in small populated Suriname, like I said, they speak of Su. That is basically the history behind the choice of the name I Love SU. Paramaribo a Fashion City

IMG-20140122-00792

In January this year, due to family circumstances, I went to Suriname. After one emotional week it was also time to enjoy the country and the big city: Paramaribo. As always I look for inspiration wherever I go. Last summer I was there also and I came back very inspired. This year I went out again to see what Paramaribo has to offer when it comes to fashion. If you think that Paramaribo is not a fashion city think again! Surinamese people love fashion and always try their best to look their best, and dress up to the fullest when they go out. In his post I like to share Paramaribo from a fashion point of view. Continue reading “Paramaribo a Fashion City”

Miranda Kerr for H&M Spring 2014

Miranda Kerr HM

One of my favorite places to shop for clothes is H&M, online as well as in the stores. Every year H&M launches campaigns where they pick out a celebrity or supermodel who is the face of their campaign. For the Spring 2014 campaign it’s none other than Miranda Kerr, supermodel and ex Victoria’s Secret model, who is set to be their newest face. The almost 31-year-old and very sexy Australian is looking good in the spring collection of H&M, and is rocking it so well that it makes you wanna buy or order the items right away. Here is a look at the official Commercial Campaign.
