What Not To Wear: The timeless fashion series
One of my favorite fashion series on television is What Not To Wear. In this show stylists Stacy London and Clinton Kelly give women, whose style is just a big no-no, a fashion make over. These women are nominated by their friends and family to be on the show because they think that help is much needed. If these women agree to play by the rules of Stacy and Clinton they get a credit card worth of 5000 dollars to get a whole new wardrobe by shopping in New York. Not only do they get to buy a whole new wardrobe, they also get a new hair style from hair stylist Ted Gibson, and a whole new look from make up artist Carmindy.

My first Topshop visit and purchase
This week I wrote about my Topshop discovery in Amsterdam and that it’s located as a shop in shop in the very chique department store de Bijenkorf. As it happened I wanted to pay a visit to de Bijenkorf for a long time now, because I had a gift card, and also wanted to visit Topshop. This way I could visit them both at once! Also this week from 2 – 6 april it’s the “Maffe Marathon” at de Bijenkorf, which literally means “Crazy Marathon”, with 5 days of discounts and special offers. Haul: My first big Primark purchase
Two weeks ago I found my renewed love for Primark and went for a little shopping at Primark Almere that weekend. Like I promised in my post “My renewed love for Primark” I would do a haul of the things I purchased. Today I finally took the pictures of everything I got the day I found my love for Primark again. Happy sixth year wedding anniversary Beyoncé and Jay-Z
The King and Queen of Hip Hop are celebrating their 6 year wedding anniversary today, It was 6 years ago that this couple decided to say I do on a very private wedding in New York City on Friday April 4th 2008. I remember this day so well as I was watching E! news and saw this come by as breaking news. Some how they knew that all the commotion at Jay’s Tribeca NY penthouse and a white tent on the rooftop was the secret wedding of Bey and Jay, and knowing how private B is I believed it immediately. The Jamaican Britney Spears: Samantha J in sexy schoolgirl music video
You might have heard the song before. “Me ah di gyal inna di tight up skirt. Mi ah di gyal inna di tight up skirt. Wine mi waist show you what mi worth.” It is the dancehall song Tight Skirt by Samantha J, a teenage Jamaican model and singer-songwrirer, born in 1996 Kingston Jamaica. The music video of this song starts with a scene in a classroom, which reminds us of the first music video of Britney Spears: Baby one more time. My Topshop discovery
I’ve heard about Topshop via internet and was a little bummed that it isn’t in the Netherlands. So I thought. Oh, well when I’m in the UK or USA I will visit this store because they have great fashion pieces. I like it, I wanna see more. Men, why isn’t this shop here? Bummer! All this was going through my mind when I saw their fashion for the first time. Just two days ago I found out that Topshop is also in the Netherlands. My take on the Kimye Vogue Cover
With all the backlash on the Kim and Kanye Vogue cover happening all over the internet, you would think that Anna Wintour really lost it on this one. I’d say the opposite is true. Kim and Kanye did deserve to be on the Vogue cover, and I expected nothing less than this day to arrive. It is sad that some people decided to cancel their Vogue subscription because of one cover, and now think that Vogue has lowered the high standards. But you can’t please everybody. Ten days ago American Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour revealed that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will be covered on the April issue of Vogue magazine. She describes them as #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple on the cover. Since I am a fan of Kim’s style, and really like the Kimye couple, I was excited to find this out online last week. As I saw the cover for the first time I was curious to find out what has been reported on this news so far. So I went online to vogue.com and then got my google on. If it’s in, it’s on the Fabulist..One more night!
For a few weeks now the commercial has aired on E! Entertainment. If it’s in, it’s on the Fabulist! Premiers Monday March 31 only on E! My curiosity was running wild at first to know what The Fabulist was. Just three days ago my curiosity was a little satisfied when they revealed that it is a trend forecasting television series hosted by Kristin Cavallari and Orly Shani. Although I am reading a lot of mixed messages about when the show will air, it seems like it’s already started in some countries (USA). It has been named the word of 2013, and is now even in the Oxford dictionary. Selfie. Two months ago it was posted on YouTube: #Selfie. You might have seen the video already or may have heard of it. It is a music video of The Chainsmokers. Although I’m not really familiar with the Chainsmokers, I do love taking selfies. JLO is back and fashionable as ever
JLO is back and she is looking as fashionable and stylish as ever. With her new music video “I luh ya papi” the 44-year-old actress/singer is looking like a hot 20 something old. Remember the infamous Versace gown she wore at the Grammy Awards in 2000? In this video her stylists channeled the most talked about dress of that year.
Denim on denim is okay
For some people it is a combination that is not done: denim on denim. But as the catwalks showed back in spring 2010 it is indeed a bold combination. And this Spring 2014, this fashion trend is claiming his spot again on the Streets.
