Exactly one year ago today the Rana Plaza building in Bangladesh collapsed taking 1.138 lives, and 140 are still unaccounted for. After this disaster we’ve learned that there were certain western brands that had their clothing manufactured there. One of them who was completely honest about that was Primark. Today I would like to take the time to honor the memory of the people who lost their lives and send my best to all the survivors and families of the dead workers.

Yet, I still buy items at Primark because I do believe that they have taken responsibility and improved their ethical trading. But everyone should decide for themselves where to shop. All I can say is know where your clothes come from.
