Flashback report: First Flormar Professional Make-Up store in Paramaribo

Many of you who follow my blog may know that I was in Suriname last year in August/ September. While walking in the city of Paramaribo one day, I got a message from a friend there who told me that there was a grand opening of Flormar in downtown Paramaribo. What? Flormar in Paramaribo? Got to see that. So, I took a taxi with the ladies I was with that day and went to check it out. Today I finally got around to share this with you. MBFWA Outfit Day 2: Snow-White and Navy Blue

Outfit Day 2 collage

For day two of MBFWA I wanted to wear something much more different from day 1 and went with a complete opposite look. This day I wanted to keep it sweet and girly and choose to wear a dress instead of pants. As I was also visiting the Zalando 10 Days Downtown Event called ‘Fashion & Ballet’ at the Koepelkerk, Renaissance Hotel, I picked out a dress that to me matched the feeling of ballet. Since it had snowed that day, I also kinda wanted to blend in with the white color on the streets. So I ended up wearing my snow-white flared skirt dress. Stylish in H&M with a touch de l’Afrique at AFWA 2014

AFWA outfit

The first edition of Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam is a fact. Like you can read in my previous post “Africa Fashion Week is taking Amsterdam“, I attended the fashion shows, held in World Fashion Centre (WFC), to volunteer on day 1 and visited as press on day 2. From both days there are cover stories available in the posts about Preparation and Backstage, AFWA day 1 and AFWA day 2. While on day 1 I had my work outfit on, which was a simple black suit and a white blouse, on day 2 it was time to shine again.  Continue reading “Stylish in H&M with a touch de l’Afrique at AFWA 2014”

Black with gold sparkles for Bo Monde

Bo Monde Juni 20141

Good evening everyone. Another night blogging from my couch after catching up on some fashion news and going through a few emails. In my post from yesterday I told you about the party with an elite touch to it, Bo Monde in Amsterdam. Today I like to share the look I was rocking that night. For this event there was a dress code of black, white, and gold. As usual you can imagine that not everybody followed this, but as the good girl I am, I did. It can be a challenge to find an outfit that suits the dress code just fine and I’m always up for a challenge. But in this case I didn’t have to think long and hard because I choose to wear an outfit I already worn before. Ooeh, talking about an outfit repeater. But first let me take a selfie

IMG-20140124-00912

A bunch of crazy silly selfies, made in Suriname this year in January. It was my first real night of clubbing! I needed a nice dress to go with my curlies and pink lipstick. That same day I went shopping at Maretraite Mall and came back home with a peplum one I got at Dojo Couture. It was my first, and yet only, peplum dress.
