Hey you guys. Writing to you live from LA County. It’s been over 3 months since my last post on here. Why? Work, work, work, work. work, work (Rihanna voice). You guys know that I started a new career right before the summer and it took some getting used to with the rosters and balancing my work and private life. But so much has happened, including my birthday in … Continue reading From MIA to BIA: I am back in action
As you could read in my previous posts, I took a little trip to Barcelona last month to celebrate my birthday. It was nothing too fancy and I spend the day with a small group. Since I’ve been celebrating my birthday for years in the autumn time here in the cold, I couldn’t let the opportunity of going to the beach in October pass me by. So that’s where we headed after a nice lunch, I was wearing my new Denim & Co dress and sunglasses. How amazing it was to have a sunny birthday after all these years. True to myself, I had Italian for dinner at a nice restaurant called Little Italy. Pictures of my birthday can be found on my Instagram. Continue reading “Rocking I Love Su in Barcelona”
Just 4 weeks ago I was in Barcelona to celebrate my 30th birthday and do the first Caribbean fashion show for Dy Muñeca The Caribbean Fashion Spot. Now I’m back after 3 weeks, this time it was for the celebration of my sister’s birthday which was this past Friday. We went to Ibiza for her birthday and had us a sunny good ol’ time. The past weeks there wasn’t so much going on here on XX Fashion Diva as I had other things going on and took a little step back. But after this trip that is about to change. As you can see I still did my weekly posts on Monday and Saturday. Continue reading “Another Barcelona Trip”
The inspiration for this week comes from a cute sign spotted in Barcelona on my birthday. Of course a picture had to be taken of this inspiring message. If this wasn’t meant to be for the blog.. Read it and believe it. Message of the week: Have a nice week full of smiles! Continue reading Monday Inspiration: Remember you are loved
After a week in Barcelona, Spain, I am back home in the Netherlands and recharging from my vacation. Yesterday morning I arrived home and man I needed some rest. It was a fun week where I celebrated my 30th birthday, took part in the first fashion show of Caribbean Fashion Spot and even had a little get away to Lloret de Mar. What a week. Can’t believe it went by so fast. Like I said before, I wanted to take you on this trip with me, but sadly the wifi connection was so bad that every time I wanted to do a post it just didn’t happen, so sorry about that. Especially because I know that I said there would be a new post on the website everyday. Now I know that this is not always in my hands. And when I got home yesterday, I was too tired to post something. Continue reading “Back from Barcelona”
Today I’m celebrating my 30th birthday. With the strength of the Lord I am happy I made it to this day. We started this day celebrating my new years eve at a club in Barcelona and danced the night away. Right now I’m about to head to the beach and spend the rest of the afternoon there chilling and enjoying the cool ocean wind and … Continue reading It’s my 30th Birthday!
Hola from Barcelona. It is so good to be back here. Every time I’m in Barcelona I do feel like I’m on holiday for sure. The temperatures, the sun, the breeze, the palm trees, the whole enchilada. Barcelona, te quiero mucho. After a good night of sleep and a good lunch I was ready to take on Barcelona yesterday. Like I told you in my previous post I’m here to celebrate my birthday and, besides from my sister who lives in Barça and my mom who came with me, I invited two special guests with me to come join me for this long Birthday Weekend. City, Beach, Sun and Fun. That’s the theme of my party this year. Also I’m here for the first fashion show of Caribbean Fashion Spot that is going down on Sunday, October 12 in club Shoko. Like every year, I am counting down for my birthday, which is now 10 days away today. The countdown helps me to get used to the idea that I will be one year older and I also do it because I am excited to celebrate a birthday again. As you can read in my ’30 before 30 years’ post it is the year of the triple 10 and I am looking forward to that. Counting down helps me ease in this idea and I for one am ready. Are there any ladies out there who are about to join the Thirty Flirty Club (TFC)? Continue reading “10 days before triple 10”
It’s official. The summer of 2014 is over. Done, past and gone. It;s time to slowly store away our summer wardrobe, the flip-flops, bikini’s, sun hats and sunscreens (unless you’re going to a tropical Island, Lucky you) and search for those knits and boots again. As sad as I am that my favourite season is over, just as happy I am that it’s now fall :). … Continue reading Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn
One of the most idolised singers in the world is celebrating today as we speak. The Queen B is Lucky to blow out 33 candles today as she celebrates her 33rd birthday. Wow! thirty plus and still looking as good as ever. Till today nobody has managed to get to the level of succes Beyoncé has for the past eleven years since she started her solo career. From her first album, which was brutally slammed by labels who didn’t think she had one hit single on it (luckily for her she proved them wrong), to an anthem that has hit the charts world wide and is now the ladies anthem of the century: Who run the world? Girls! Continue reading “Happy 33rd Birthday Beyoncé”
Giving you a few snapshots of the look I had on a birthday six years ago. This photo was taken at a restaurant in one of my favourite places in the Netherlands, that gives me the ultimate holiday/ bday weekend feeling: Scheveningen. This is a place in The Hague with the most wonderful boulevard in all of Holland. We had dinner at Masada Grill and I had my favourite food: pasta!
