Fashion and romance in Dutch film ‘Hartenstraat’

Besides fashion and good food I really love movies. I guess you can say that when it comes to movies I am a big Hollywood fan. But from time to time I can watch a Dutch movie if the storyline sounds good. So I did yesterday. Since I had to be in Amsterdam city centre for a meeting, I thought why not take this opportunity to go see a movie at the Pathé cinema in the city centre, giving the fact that I almost always go to the cinema in Amsterdam Southeast. A touch of African Queen on Kingsday

On Saturday April 26, as you can read in my previous post “Open Air Boutique on Kingsday”, it was the first Kingsday in the Netherlands. I also shared with you that I participated on the free market with my cousins by presenting our own Open Air Boutique. After a fun day of releasing my inner sales person, I went to Amsterdam city with my best friend. Since it was Kingsday I wanted to dress appropriately, with a royal touch, and so I did. With my natural curly hair it is always a bit of a task to get a proper hairdo, and I didn’t feel like taking on this task that day. It’s the ultimate combination when you want to be very chique and classy when you’re going out. Whether it is to a party, a club or an event. Black and Gold! It never gets old. This combination is timeless, fabulous and suits everyone. I love it so much. Every time I wear this fashion combo I feel like the true Diva I am. And I am. Always need to look my best, feel my best and be my best. Cause if you look good you feel good. No matter if it’s spring, summer, fall or winter, I’d say get your black and gold on. Last weekend on saturday and this weekend on saturday I had a birthday party to attend to. At both party’s I did the black and gold. I like to share some pictures with you here. My first Topshop visit and purchase

This week I wrote about my Topshop discovery in Amsterdam and that it’s located as a shop in shop in the very chique department store de Bijenkorf. As it happened I wanted to pay a visit to de Bijenkorf for a long time now, because I had a gift card, and also wanted to visit Topshop. This way I could visit them both at once! Also this week from 2 – 6 april it’s the “Maffe Marathon” at de Bijenkorf, which literally means “Crazy Marathon”, with 5 days of discounts and special offers. I’ve heard about Topshop via internet and was a little bummed that it isn’t in the Netherlands. So I thought. Oh, well when I’m in the UK or USA I will visit this store because they have great fashion pieces. I like it, I wanna see more. Men, why isn’t this shop here? Bummer! All this was going through my mind when I saw their fashion for the first time. Just two days ago I found out that Topshop is also in the Netherlands. Fashion is not about labels and the amount you spend on it. It’s about being you in your very best way. That is not hard to achieve with all the fashion boutiques in shopping malls we have today all over the world. In this post I have a few pictures of a women’s boutique called Donna di Ricardo in the shopping centre “Amsterdamse Poort” in Amsterdam Southeast (Amsterdam Zuidoost). As I was visiting this shopping centre at the beginning of this month I was amazed by their spring collections. Donna di Ricardo offers affordable fashion for the everyday fashionista. Fashion and Beauty at Huishoudbeurs 2014

The Huishoudbeurs in Amsterdam is over. This annual fair in Amsterdam is the place to be for all things trending for your household. It attracts mainly female visitors but is also visited by men who attend the fair with their wives or girlfriends. As  you could read in my previous post “Fashion Truck Dutch style at Huishoudbeurs 2014” I went to the Huishoudbeurs this year in February. Like the fashionista I am I focused on the Fashion areas and went to see who is present at the fair and what is trending this year. This with my camera ofcourse.
