Barcelona Trip Day 1
Day 1 of Barcelona was a fun one since my two birthday guests arrived and I took them out to see the city a little bit. Of course I had to take them to La Rambla, the street to be when in Barcelona. When on La Rambla you have to visit La Boqueria as well, the market that always makes me so happy when I step … Continue reading Barcelona Trip Day 1
Saturday Slow Jam: I need
One thing you might not know about me is that I am a complete romantic at heart. For real I am a sucker for anything that has to do with romance, like watch chickflicks, read chicklits, watch love shows on television, listen to love shows on the radio and…slow jams. How I love me some slow jams. And you know that the black men are the Must Listen when it coms to slow jams. Those smooth voices and faces are so sexy, that I have to share some of the videos with my ladies. From this weekend on I want to start a new series called Saturday Slow Jam, where every Saturday I will share a selected R&B Slow Jam music video, new or old, depending on the mood I am in. Back from Barcelona
After a week in Barcelona, Spain, I am back home in the Netherlands and recharging from my vacation. Yesterday morning I arrived home and man I needed some rest. It was a fun week where I celebrated my 30th birthday, took part in the first fashion show of Caribbean Fashion Spot and even had a little get away to Lloret de Mar. What a week. Can’t believe it went by so fast. Like I said before, I wanted to take you on this trip with me, but sadly the wifi connection was so bad that every time I wanted to do a post it just didn’t happen, so sorry about that. Especially because I know that I said there would be a new post on the website everyday. Now I know that this is not always in my hands. And when I got home yesterday, I was too tired to post something. Continue reading “Back from Barcelona”
Monday Inspiration: The turning point
The inspiration for this week is a quote that even I can relate to. Remember that in life people will hurt you, rather it’s intentional or not. You have to know that you’ve got the strength within you to survive it all. Quote of the week: Have a wonderful week full of strength! Continue reading Monday Inspiration: The turning point
It’s my 30th Birthday!
Today I’m celebrating my 30th birthday. With the strength of the Lord I am happy I made it to this day. We started this day celebrating my new years eve at a club in Barcelona and danced the night away. Right now I’m about to head to the beach and spend the rest of the afternoon there chilling and enjoying the cool ocean wind and … Continue reading It’s my 30th Birthday!
Printed maxi for Barcelona day 1
Hola from Barcelona. It is so good to be back here. Every time I’m in Barcelona I do feel like I’m on holiday for sure. The temperatures, the sun, the breeze, the palm trees, the whole enchilada. Barcelona, te quiero mucho. After a good night of sleep and a good lunch I was ready to take on Barcelona yesterday. Like I told you in my previous post I’m here to celebrate my birthday and, besides from my sister who lives in Barça and my mom who came with me, I invited two special guests with me to come join me for this long Birthday Weekend. City, Beach, Sun and Fun. That’s the theme of my party this year. Also I’m here for the first fashion show of Caribbean Fashion Spot that is going down on Sunday, October 12 in club Shoko. Spotted at River Island: The chunky boots
This season chunky boots are making a comeback. Everywhere you look these shoes are present. Last week, while looking for a birthday dress in downtown Amsterdam, I came across some very cool ones at River Island. You can get them in different colours but mostly in black, with or without cutouts, or straps. The chunky boots are very trending right now and the perfect pair of shoes for fall/winter. For sure I’m going to get myself a pair. Continue reading “Spotted at River Island: The chunky boots”
Bye Amsterdam, Hola Barcelona
Good evening from Barcelona, Spain. Just got here today and looking forward to an exciting week. Those who are following me on Instagram and Twitter might already know that I came to Barcelona to celebrate my birthday. Next to that I am here for the first fashion show of Dy Muñeca Caribbean Fashion Spot. A post about this fashion show is on the XX Fashion Diva Facebook page.
A little break for new ideas
This weekend I haven’t been active on the blog as I needed a little break to figure some things out. In the meantime I came up with lots of new ideas for articles and series on XX Fashion Diva and a planning is already in the making. The upcoming weeks you can expect more fashion, beauty and event posts. More about that soon. Continue reading “A little break for new ideas”

10 days before triple 10
Like every year, I am counting down for my birthday, which is now 10 days away today. The countdown helps me to get used to the idea that I will be one year older and I also do it because I am excited to celebrate a birthday again. As you can read in my ’30 before 30 years’ post it is the year of the triple 10 and I am looking forward to that. Counting down helps me ease in this idea and I for one am ready. Are there any ladies out there who are about to join the Thirty Flirty Club (TFC)? Continue reading “10 days before triple 10”
Monday Inspiration: Don’t worry about others
Many people like to look at what other people are doing instead of looking at themselves. Looking and worry about others is a distraction from doing what you want to and therefore should do. Especially when you want to start something for yourself it can bring up unnecessary insecurities. The quote for this week is one that we all know and use, but still is … Continue reading Monday Inspiration: Don’t worry about others
All black everything as first Fall look 2014
Fall is here. Time to switch up the wardrobe again as I explained earlier in my Goodbye Summer post. For my first day out this season, I went for a simple one colour outfit. The colour which you can never go wrong with. Black. An all black everything outfit is always chic and flattering for your figure. It may not be the outfit combination for miss Anna Wintour, … Continue reading All black everything as first Fall look 2014
Spotted at H&M: The Red Lips Bag
On Wednesday this week I went to the city for the first time this fall. Curious to see what trends are in store right now and what beauty products are a must have, I visited a few stores and H&M was one of them. Of course how can I resist the H&M when it comes to fall fashion right. The first thing that captured my attention when walking into the store was this cute little red lips bag with a long strap that I just had to share with you.
