Plog: my much-needed pedicure

After two and a half months I finally got me a pedicure again. I know, that is a long time. Wearing high heels all the time can make your feet become hard underneath, and after all this time you can imagine the amount of callous I had on my heels too. Because I don’t have the right tools to remove all of this I decided to go to Coco Nails & Spa in Almere and get a pedicure there. In this plog I will show you the step by step action of my pedicure so that you can see that it is easy to do if you have the right tools at home. Or otherwise you can see what to expect when you go get a pedicure and gel nail polish after.

One of my favorite fashion series on television is What Not To Wear. In this show stylists Stacy London and Clinton Kelly give women, whose style is just a big no-no, a fashion make over. These women are nominated by their friends and family to be on the show because they think that help is much needed. If these women agree to play by the rules of Stacy and Clinton they get a credit card worth of 5000 dollars to get a whole new wardrobe by shopping in New York. Not only do they get to buy a whole new wardrobe, they also get a new hair style from hair stylist Ted Gibson, and a whole new look from make up artist Carmindy.

My first Topshop visit and purchase

This week I wrote about my Topshop discovery in Amsterdam and that it’s located as a shop in shop in the very chique department store de Bijenkorf. As it happened I wanted to pay a visit to de Bijenkorf for a long time now, because I had a gift card, and also wanted to visit Topshop. This way I could visit them both at once! Also this week from 2 – 6 april it’s the “Maffe Marathon” at de Bijenkorf, which literally means “Crazy Marathon”, with 5 days of discounts and special offers. The King and Queen of Hip Hop are celebrating their 6 year wedding anniversary today, It was 6 years ago that this couple decided to say I do on a very private wedding in New York City on Friday April 4th 2008. I remember this day so well as I was watching E! news and saw this come by as breaking news. Some how they knew that all the commotion at Jay’s Tribeca NY penthouse and a white tent on the rooftop was the secret wedding of Bey and Jay, and knowing how private B is I believed it immediately. My Topshop discovery

I’ve heard about Topshop via internet and was a little bummed that it isn’t in the Netherlands. So I thought. Oh, well when I’m in the UK or USA I will visit this store because they have great fashion pieces. I like it, I wanna see more. Men, why isn’t this shop here? Bummer! All this was going through my mind when I saw their fashion for the first time. Just two days ago I found out that Topshop is also in the Netherlands. With all the backlash on the Kim and Kanye Vogue cover happening all over the internet, you would think that Anna Wintour really lost it on this one. I’d say the opposite is true. Kim and Kanye did deserve to be on the Vogue cover, and I expected nothing less than this day to arrive. It is sad that some people decided to cancel their Vogue subscription because of one cover, and now think that Vogue has lowered the high standards. But you can’t please everybody. Kim and Kanye grace April 2014 Vogue Cover

Ten days ago American Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour revealed that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will be covered on the April issue of Vogue magazine. She describes them as #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple on the cover. Since I am a fan of Kim’s style, and really like the Kimye couple, I was excited to find this out online last week.
