The beauty video I’m sharing today is a spring make up look by YouTube vlogger Casey Holmes. In the Spring season it is always nice to play a little with colours and that goes for makeup as well. What I like about this look especially is the eye make up. Definitely gonna try out that colour scheme on my skin tone. Continue reading “#WBD: Spring makeup tutorial”
Hooray! SPRING IS HERE! The long awaited season that will start the countdown to Summer. Well, now that the winter days are gone, it’s time to seriously start to work on that body again. Most of us have that resolution starting the new year, but after the first weeks we get back into routine and gone are all the things we were set to do. Continue reading “Spring Time! Minding my body”
With Spring in the air, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is nice and warm outside. For this reason, I never put away my scarves here in the Netherlands. Come winter, spring, summer or autumn, the scarf is my favourite accessory. That’s why today, I like to share a video with you by Neiman Marcus on how to tie your scarf like a stylist in many different … Continue reading Tie your scarf like a stylist with Neiman Marcus
When it comes to Moschino fun, playful, provoking and unorthodox are words you can best use to describe the looks this Italian brand gives you. As the late designer Franco Moschino didn’t pay any mind to the fashion elite, the current designer Jeremy Scott, who made his debut at Moschino last season, is happy to continue this tradition. No one can do Kitsch better than Scott and with his Spring/ Summer 2015 designs he proves this again. Continue reading “Moschino brings you Barbie’s dream wardrobe”
We all are familiar with that problem, right ladies. You have a great party coming up, a glamorous event or even a first date. There you are standing in front of your closet looking at piles of clothes, going trough your racks and there it is..that big sigh! OML I have nothing to wear. If I had one euro for every time I said that. Can’t even remember. Can you? Continue reading “A closet full of clothes, yet nothing to wear? Five tips to change that”
Looking for cool DIY’s on the internet is something I do every now and then. One of my favorite categories in that is nail art. Last week I was looking at fashion video’s on YouTube and I saw this video keep popping up on top on the right side every time after each video. It was Color Blocking Nails by TotallyCoolNails on the channel Polished and I had to click to see it. This is a very cool way of polishing your nails for this spring/summer. Like I promised in the previous post I would give you a plog of the Grand opening of Forever 21 Amsterdam, which took place this Saturday April 19. It was a very sunny day in Amsterdam. As I walked towards Rokin where the Forever 21 store is located I already noticed how crowded it was in the city, lots of tourists, some in little groups or families, walking around with their camera. There was a carnival like there always is in the spring time on Dam Square and it seemed like everyone was having a good time. On my way I couldn’t help myself to take some pictures to show you on what kind of day Forever 21 has opened its doors. Continue reading “Plog: Grand opening Forever 21 Amsterdam”
For some people it is a combination that is not done: denim on denim. But as the catwalks showed back in spring 2010 it is indeed a bold combination. And this Spring 2014, this fashion trend is claiming his spot again on the Streets.
Last week I talked about cleaning out the closet for Spring season. Well, I have to say that I didn’t get as far as I planned to at the beginning. I did manage to rearrange the extra clothing racks that I have besides my closet, to hang my dresses, blouses and blazers. And my shoe rack.
In Europe most of us know and love Primark, especially for their low prices. It is the perfect store for fashionistas on a budget. Because I wasn’t the biggest fan of Primark at the beginning (See post “My first experiences with Primark”) I wasn’t very excited to find out that there was finally going to be a store in my city Almere in november 2012. And I most certainly didn’t plan to visit that store in the first week, let along the first day which was 12-12-2012. That would be hell with the massive crowd.
Spring time is finally here. That means it’s time for bold colors and a little shimmer. If you’re looking for a way to get some color into your hair without actually dyeing your hair or braid some color in, there’s a solution: Hair Chalks. Now also available at The Body Shop this Spring in the colors blue and pink.
One of my favorite places to shop for clothes is H&M, online as well as in the stores. Every year H&M launches campaigns where they pick out a celebrity or supermodel who is the face of their campaign. For the Spring 2014 campaign it’s none other than Miranda Kerr, supermodel and ex Victoria’s Secret model, who is set to be their newest face. The almost 31-year-old and very sexy Australian is looking good in the spring collection of H&M, and is rocking it so well that it makes you wanna buy or order the items right away. Here is a look at the official Commercial Campaign.
Spring time is almost here. You know what that means to most of us. Spring cleaning! And to me a big part of spring cleaning means: cleaning out the closet. Every year I have a period where I go through my closet and give away clothing, but also shoes and bags that I don’t want anymore for several reasons. It could be because I don’t like them anymore, the colors faded, I’ve outgrown them in the sense of maturing, or it’s just out of style. Not that I care too much about what’s in style, but sometimes you gotta admit when something is just not done anymore. Continue reading “Cleaning out the closet part one”
