Hey there Fashionistas, this week it is about Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam (MBFWA). Like I told you in my previous post, I attended two catwalk shows and one Downtown event during the fashion week last weekend. It was my first time at the Fashion Week in Amsterdam and I enjoyed myself a lot. Before I share pictures of the shows and the event with you, I want you to have a look at my outfit on the first day. Good evening everyone. Another night blogging from my couch after catching up on some fashion news and going through a few emails. In my post from yesterday I told you about the party with an elite touch to it, Bo Monde in Amsterdam. Today I like to share the look I was rocking that night. For this event there was a dress code of black, white, and gold. As usual you can imagine that not everybody followed this, but as the good girl I am, I did. It can be a challenge to find an outfit that suits the dress code just fine and I’m always up for a challenge. But in this case I didn’t have to think long and hard because I choose to wear an outfit I already worn before. Ooeh, talking about an outfit repeater. On Saturday April 26, as you can read in my previous post “Open Air Boutique on Kingsday”, it was the first Kingsday in the Netherlands. I also shared with you that I participated on the free market with my cousins by presenting our own Open Air Boutique. After a fun day of releasing my inner sales person, I went to Amsterdam city with my best friend. Since it was Kingsday I wanted to dress appropriately, with a royal touch, and so I did. With my natural curly hair it is always a bit of a task to get a proper hairdo, and I didn’t feel like taking on this task that day. Instead of spending half an hour getting my hair done, I choose to go African chic with one of the trending items of today, the headscarf. Continue reading “A touch of African Queen on Kingsday”
Yesterday I posted a picture of myself in the post “My special outfit” and told you that it was for a special day. This outfit I wore to the grand opening of the first Forever 21 in Amsterdam. As a fashion blogger I also went there to blog about the opening and I wanted to dress the part. I choose to wear my XX Fashion Diva t-shirt, one of my merchandise pieces, that I’d made especially for branding XX Fashion Diva. This way I wanted to send the message that I was there for my readers as well.
Every year I look at the weather on April 25th to see what it’s like, what it feels like and if it stays the same during the day. Why? Because of something the character Cheryl Frasier, played by Heather Burns, said in Miss Congeniality when during the Miss United States pageant she was asked to describe her favorite date. “April 25th. Because it’s not too hot and it’s not too cold. All you need is a light jacket”, was her answer. True that, because every year on april 25th the weather is like that. Really all you need is a light jacket.
It’s the ultimate combination when you want to be very chique and classy when you’re going out. Whether it is to a party, a club or an event. Black and Gold! It never gets old. This combination is timeless, fabulous and suits everyone. I love it so much. Every time I wear this fashion combo I feel like the true Diva I am. And I am. Always need to look my best, feel my best and be my best. Cause if you look good you feel good. No matter if it’s spring, summer, fall or winter, I’d say get your black and gold on. Last weekend on saturday and this weekend on saturday I had a birthday party to attend to. At both party’s I did the black and gold. I like to share some pictures with you here.
