The first edition of Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam is a fact. Like you can read in my previous post “Africa Fashion Week is taking Amsterdam“, I attended the fashion shows, held in World Fashion Centre (WFC), to volunteer on day 1 and visited as press on day 2. From both days there are cover stories available in the posts about Preparation and Backstage, AFWA day 1 and AFWA day 2. Highlights of AFWA 2014 fashion shows day 1

Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam 2014 (AFWA 2014) is a fact. This past weekend was all about African and African inspired fashion as the first edition of Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam took place at the World Fashion Center (WFC) in Amsterdam. On Saturday August 30 and Sunday August 31 visitors of AFWA were able to enjoy the runway shows with colourful and bold African prints, entertainment and celebrity hosts. The first day was about the Student Show and Catwalk Show where students and emerging designers showcased their work. Day two was a bit more glamorous as it was the day of the Gala Show. Africa Fashion Week is taking Amsterdam

Good news for African fashion lovers! After New York, Paris, Berlin, Prague and London it’s up to Amsterdam to host the Africa Fashion Week (AFWA 2014) that will take place in the World Fashion Centre. On August 30 and 31 there will be 20 African and African inspired designers showing the beauty of African couture, art and fashion to a European and global audience. And how pleased am I to tell you that I will attend this first time event in the Dutch Capital to capture all the best moments for you. How I experienced the CFW 2014 fashion shows in Kingston

The Caribbean Fashion Week 2014 in Kingston, Jamaica was the first international Fashion Week I’ve been to and therefore it’s definitely going in my Fashion History Book. It was a pleasure and honor to be there as one of the media to capture this event from the frontline for Dy Muñeca the Caribbean Fashion Spot. Like I told you before in this post about CFW, I was there as a part of the Caribbean Fashion Spot. That’s why I talk about “we” in my Jamaica posts. My biggest role at the Caribbean Fashion Week shows was that of photographer. In this post I will share my experience of being photographer, visitor and fashionista at the same time.
