CFS-MBFWA websiteWeeks ago we’ve met the designers who are going to wow us with their stunning mid- high fashion designer pieces at the first Caribbean fashion show during Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Amsterdam on Saturday, July 11, 2015. Sadly, one of them has cancelled, so the show will go on with five designers instead of six. That should not stop the fun! Because this time I am gonna let you meet the next best thing after the gorgeous designs. The Caribbean and exotic looking models!
We say exotic looking, because we do not only have models with Caribbean roots, but we also have ladies from European and African descent and we are representing them all. Caribbean Fashion spot promotes diversity. This Saturday we will take the diversity to the runway all the way! So get ready for a runway filled with mixed chicks.
Because we have a list of 25 models, I am not going to show you all of them, but I will pick out a few just so you’ll get the idea and know what I am talking about.
The first model kicking off the show will be the muse of the first designer, Atelier Doré from Suriname, who will show us exactly WHY she is the one with her face all over many of their promoting material. This Surinamese model who flew all the way to the Netherlands from Suriname is, as I’ve been told, the next big thing. Can’t wait!
Meet the fierce Surinamese Ketura:
