One of the most idolised singers in the world is celebrating today as we speak. The Queen B is Lucky to blow out 33 candles today as she celebrates her 33rd birthday. Wow! thirty plus and still looking as good as ever. Till today nobody has managed to get to the level of succes Beyoncé has for the past eleven years since she started her solo career. Fashionable African singer Yemi Alade

After Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam (AFWA 2014) I am so in the spirit of African fashion and African music, that while googling for Diana Tambe, the founder of AFWA, I stumbled on a music video by Yemi Alade. A beautiful 25 year old singer from Nigeria. This music video captured my attention right away. First thing I noticed: her outfits! Love it. And of course the song is nice too, it’s got that swinging African beat that makes you feel happy and wanna dance. Miss Yemi has got herself a new fan. You can imagine that I had to find out more about this Nigerian beauty and fashionista. Yemi was even a talked about topic on the Google hangout of USA’s first lady Michelle Obama and featured on MTV.com, so you know her music must be good. Tricky Tuesday: Troy the most handsome magician in town

This post might be different from what you guys are used to, but it will be the first one of my entertainment section. In this post I would like you to meet Troy. A young and very handsome magician from Southeast London who now has his own television show on the Discovery channel. It was about a month and a half ago that I came across his show while zapping on tv and his looks made me stop on the Discovery channel immediately. And what a discovery it was. Ladies, you’re gonna thank me for this one. The name Troy made me think of a series or something, but when I read in the info that he was a magician, I had to see the show. Sadly, I was on my way out and couldn’t watch it at that moment but I recorded it and finally had a look today. Together with my mom I watched the show and then went on YouTube on tv for some more. One year anniversary of Rana Plaza disaster

Exactly one year ago today the Rana Plaza building in Bangladesh collapsed taking 1.138 lives, and 140 are still unaccounted for. After this disaster we’ve learned that there were certain western brands that had their clothing manufactured there. One of them who was completely honest about that was Primark. Today I would like to take the time to honor the memory of the people who lost their lives and send my best to all the survivors and families of the dead workers.
