Hola from Barcelona. It is so good to be back here. Every time I’m in Barcelona I do feel like I’m on holiday for sure. The temperatures, the sun, the breeze, the palm trees, the whole enchilada. Barcelona, te quiero mucho. After a good night of sleep and a good lunch I was ready to take on Barcelona yesterday. Like I told you in my previous post I’m here to celebrate my birthday and, besides from my sister who lives in Barça and my mom who came with me, I invited two special guests with me to come join me for this long Birthday Weekend. City, Beach, Sun and Fun. That’s the theme of my  party this year. Also I’m here for the first fashion show of Caribbean Fashion Spot that is going down on Sunday, October 12 in club Shoko. The first edition of Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam is a fact. Like you can read in my previous post “Africa Fashion Week is taking Amsterdam“, I attended the fashion shows, held in World Fashion Centre (WFC), to volunteer on day 1 and visited as press on day 2. From both days there are cover stories available in the posts about Preparation and Backstage, AFWA day 1 and AFWA day 2. The weekend before the Keti Koti Festival I went to another festival in Amsterdam where it was all about good reggae music. The first edition of the Amsterdam Reggae Village, an indoor festival in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam Southeast. A friend of mine actually invited me on Facebook to join this event. Still in Jamaica mode after my trip, I was very thrilled to read about it, and visited the website immediately. As a reggae lover I couldn’t miss the first edition of this reggae festival and of course said yes to the invitation.  Continue reading “Putting some Reggae in to it”
