First ever Caribbean Fashion Show in Barcelona, Spain

Caribbean Fashion Show Shoko

The first Caribbean Fashion Show organised by Dy Muñeca the Caribbean Fashion Spot is a fact. On Sunday October 12, a Caribbean fashion showcase was held in a beautiful venue near the Barceloneta beach called Shoko. As the PR Executive of Dy Muñeca the Caribbean Fashion Spot, I was very proud of our first fashion show, given the work of CEO and founder Dymuñeca. She picked the designers, put together a group of models – mostly of Caribbean descent -, put together the runway looks and produced the show. Chapeau! It was the first ever Caribbean fashion show in Europe.

For this show I had the role of the catwalk coach and coached the models on how to walk, put the catwalk to its best use and involve the audience in the show by making eye contact, since it was an intimate setting where the audience sat by tables. Next to that, I was also one of the models in the fashion show. My first catwalk experience ever! Those who follow my Facebook page have already seen the post where I shared the story of this show as covered on Dy Muñeca the Caribbean Fashion Spot. Since we’re already working on the next Caribbean Fashion Show, I wanted to share the first one with you on the blog also, especially if you missed it on FB. My personal catwalk experience I will share in a next post.
