The inspiration of this week is a message to everyone, especially those who always have the need to please others instead of themselves. Do yourself a favour and stay who you are. Message of the week: Have a fantastic week! XX Fashion Diva Continue reading Monday Inspiration: Don’t change..
Today I would just like to share a short fashion video with you that I came across on Facebook yesterday and went to look for on YouTube just now. In this video we get to see how fashion evolves within a 100 years after every decade, in about 2,5 minutes. From the feather hat in 1915 until the trendy leather jacket today in 2015. Oeh, that … Continue reading Must see: 100 years of fashion in 2 minutes
My first encounter with Flormar was during my last visit to Barcelona, Spain. As I was walking by this colourful make-up store, I couldn’t help stepping inside. Right then and there I fell in love with the brand and became a member right after I bought some cute colours of nail polish. Ever since then I’ve been getting these newsletters from them, which I don’t understand one single word from, since they’re in Spanish. So If I want to know what they say, I have to Google translate. But sometimes I do get a video! Continue reading “#WBD: Flormar Bohemian Dream Collection”
Last year on June 10, I was on my way as part of Caribbean Fashion Spot (CFS) to Jamaica for the Caribbean Fashion Week in Kingston. This week I’m feeling a little nostalgic and like to look back on the great time I had during this “workaction”, starting with the trip to Kingston. The best trips are those of which you mix business with pleasure. If someone would’ve told me that one year later CFS would be in the middle of organizing its own Caribbean fashion show during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam (MBFWA), I would not have believed them. This summer Caribbean Fashion Spot will bring you the first ever Caribbean fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam. Six designers in the mid- and high segment will be showing their beautiful and inspiring collection on Saturday July 11, 2015 in the ‘Gashouder’, both clothing and accessories. The fashion labels that will be featured are all very different from one another, but all have that Caribbean touch to it.
What does a fashion editor do exactly?? Hmm..when you ask that question to an actual editor, the answer is not quite as simple as you would think. Last week, I found a video about the world’s most famous fashion magazine, also known as the fashion Bible, Vogue, in which we can take a look at this fashion magazine through the editor’s eye. A very fascinating film if you are into fashion magazines and are (or thinking about becoming) an editor yourself. Have a look at the monthly art piece of Anna Wintour. Enjoy! It has been a hectic couple of weeks for me as the PR executive of Caribbean Fashion Spot (CFS) in combination with my other projects. How time goes by. Two weeks since I last posted something on here. There is so much going on with the Caribbean fashion show, which is coming up on July 11, 2015 at Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Amsterdam (MBFWA), that I want to share with you. But let me start with the most important: Caribbean Fashion Spot is now officially on the program of MBFWA. Continue reading “Crazy busy days with CFS!”
