Even for a creative soul like me it can happen that from time to time I don’t have inspiration. No matter what I want to do, I just can’t seem to get myself to do it. Even if it looks so good in my head. Picturing something and actually doing it are two different things. A good dose of inspiration is just what I need to get me going again. These are the times that I turn to the most popular video website that always helps me out: YouTube.

On YouTube you can find anything you want to get inspired from A to Z. I Love It. Here is a list of things I watch on YouTube for inspiration, that just might help you out as well.

DIY. From making your own gifts, pimping your clothes and shoes to nail art and decorations. Watching a DIY video is always a good idea if you need to be inspired to make something.

Closet and Wardrobe. How to arrange your closet, to clean it out, or just watch what other people’s closet look like and what their favorite pieces are. You will find lots of inspiring videos on this topic.

Outfit and styling. If you don’t know what to wear to a certain event, need inspiration on holiday outfits or just want to know how to put an outfit together with different pieces of clothing and accessories, you might want to take a look at these videos. Most are provided to you by professional stylists, fashion students, fashionistas or fashion bloggers.

Interior design. These are especially handy to watch when you want to do something different in your house, or just your bedroom. Just watch and learn about everything you can do to be your own interior designer.

Hair tutorials. How to do a certain hairdo, braid, put on extensions, color your hair, straighten or curl it and so on. A good hair tutorial can teach you how to switch things up for your hair any time.

Make up tutorials. Wanna know how to do a smokey eye on yourself, make a perfect cat eye or do an hombre lip. These videos will provide you with all sorts of tips and tricks.

Reviews. When it comes to reviews you can find a wide range of these. But I mostly search for fashion and beauty related reviews. These can help you out with your choice to get a certain product or not. Or in some cases watch a certain programme, show or series. These video’s actually inspire me to take action, especially when the person doing the review is very enthusiastic.

Careers how to. How to become a successful this or that, or how to start a business in… For anyone who wants a certain job, or wants to start a business for themselves, these kind of videos are a must see. Professionals and experts telling you their stories and giving you advice on topics you always wanted to know more about than you already do.

Reality shows. As some people may watch this purely for the entertainment or just because they like to know what is going on in other people’s lives, I watch them first and foremost for inspiration. Taking out the elements that are important to me and trying to learn something from every episode I watch. These shows just might do the same for you.

Music Videos. Watching a video of your favorite singer or band will make you feel good and give you the boost of energy you need. A Michael Jackson or Beyoncé video does the trick for me.
