One year after the Caribbean Fashion Show at MBFWA

Exactly one year ago on this day I was at home recovering from all the organizing, planning and the day of the first Caribbean Fashion Show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam. Today I am resting from a spontaneous and fun weekend I had in Paris due to the Euro 2016 final.

Everyone who knows me a little, and those of you who follow me on social media, know that I have a thing for France. Ever since I started to get French lessons in school I started to develop an interest in France and French things. So, this year when the UEFA European Football Championship started, I immediately said that my favourite team was France. Due to my recent cabin crew training and the start of this new career, I unfortunately did not follow the Euro 2016 from the beginning, but I made sure that I saw the quarter final and semi final with France, after which I decided that I was going to Paris to watch the final. So I did! My Insta followers may know this by now.

More details on my spontaneous Paris trip will follow in a next post. For now I’m just lying here at home watching the opening ceremony of the Euro 2016 Final again and realizing how time flies! Last year around this past weekend’s time I was totally focused on the fashion show and this past weekend it was all about the football match. While wandering in the Bon Marche in the 7th arrondissement in Paris yesterday, I was talking to my travel companion about the show I co-organized on this date last year, July 11. Memories!!!

Unfortunately circumstances during this past year have led to me still not finding the time to post the report of the show I had in mind. But because I still want to do it, like I promised before, I figured a flash back post will be a perfect way. So stay tuned for the flashback report of the Caribbean Fashion Show.. and my time in Paris this past weekend. Even though France lost, I had a good time. Bonsoir!
